Title:                 Assistant Professor

Department:      Dramatic Arts

Deadline:           Review begins 11/15/07; open until filled

            

Duties:              Teach two classes per semester. Direct at least one
production per academic year. Advise students; participation in university
governance activities. This is a tenure-track position.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

MFA in Theatre/Acting. Professional acting experience. Directing experience.
Ability to teach all levels of acting, including non-standard approaches
such as Grotowski, Suzuki, Viewpoints, etc. Ability to teach a recognized
system of voice training; ability to teach Theatre Appreciation and movement
for actors.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

College level teaching experience. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse
student populations.
