Lecturer of Musical Theatre (Choreographer / Director)
The Department of Theatre at Coastal Carolina University invites
applications for a Resident Artist/ Lecturer in Musical Theatre
Choreography/Direction and Dance beginning Fall Semester 2008. The
department seeks a faculty member with professional experience as a
Choreographer of musicals, an interest and/or experience in directing
(both musical and non-musical works), and the ability to teach
multiple styles of dance (Ballet, Jazz, and Tap). Duties include
teaching a variety of dance classes and choreographing and/or
directing in an active and growing production program. Lecturer
position is one year renewable position. Potential candidates must
demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and must foster a
collegial approach in their work. Appropriate advanced degree (M.F.A.)
or significant professional experience at national or regional levels
is required as is evidence of continued professional development. For
